There is a good chance many died driving very late at night or early morning. I had a policy should any soldier be stuck far away late at night to call about their predicament and the result would be a verbal counseling unless they abused the process.

Sometimes my role was being a parent. I did not want tired soldiers driving long distances in a rush to make formation. Nobody abused the program.PO2 Russell "Russ" Lincoln

..."Forty-eight Marines died in accidents in the 2022 fiscal year.

In addition to 16 Marines who died in car accidents, 10 died in motorcycle accidents. In only one of those deaths was the Marine determined to be under the influence of alcohol, according to Naval Safety Command’s official determination.

Since October 2022, one Marine apart from Connor has died in an accident, also involving a car and also on Nov. 20, 2022."...

Let's not forget that class 6 makes money the Navy Exchange makes money off of alcohol and cigarette sales. On one hand, they say or make you take stupid classes called responsible drinking when there's no such thing.
