Gas vs. Electric Stoves: Which is really more efficient?

Gas stoves are twice as efficient as electric stoves. So as America tries to reduce its energy foot print the government is trying to outlaw gas stoves. Where does the majority of the electricity for the electric ranges come from ? Coal or gas fired plants. So an inefficient stove becomes even less efficient by shipping power over electrical lines from coal or gas fired power plant. Does this make any sense?

The BIG DIRTYY SECRET of Climate Change Officials is that they give a free pass to any electricity used from the grid in their carbon calculations. They also don't consider the energy (carbon) used to build and maintain things like solar panels, wind turbines, batteries, electric cars, and everything else. They bill and electric car as being 100% carbon free! What a bunch of bull.
