Like others have said here, it's going to take more than a couple months to train these guys and if they don't combine this training with artillery and mechanized Infantry they won't survive.

Right before the coronavirus hit, president Trump approved 108 Abrams tanks to taiwan. They just received a couple Last Summer. That means that it's going to take them 2 to 3 years to get their tanks. Does that mean that Taiwan gets to lose their position in line or does this mean that National Guard or active Army have to give up their tanks to Ukraine?

There is talk in Canada of giving up a few tanks and Germany can send a few leopards right away. Still, if Ukraine doesn't have enough practice with Gunnery skills and they don't work with other units in training exercises, these tanks will not survive or their unit will be non-mission capable.

https://www.taiwannews.com.tw/en/news/4792661 President Biden is an idiot. He decided to do this along time after the war started. He actually didn't do sanctions on Russia until after. That is why this video from General Jack Keane is so true.

President Biden also canceled the Keystone Pipeline in his first day of office yet he acquiesced the completion of the Russian Nord stream 2 gas pipeline. Sure, it's been destroyed but it just goes to show that President Biden doesn't lead from the front. How good is sanctions after the battle has started?

CPT Lawrence Cable - What I was trying to say is, the 11th haven't always been the Opfor. Before them it was the 177th Armored BDE (SEP) (Opfor), I was a member of the Opfor 87-91, I was in Bravo 6/31 Inf. and we changed over to 1/52 Inf. in late 87. At that time we did 12-14 rotations a year. The cav was still in Germany then.

LTC (Join to see) - IMHO the " Church of the green New Deal " is in the "Not in my backyard". They are all for it if the mining is done in Asia or Africa, but the US and maybe North America has to be left pristine. They sure ain't raising a stink over China and India polluting left & right.

Yeah the Church of the green New Deal can't get angry at China or India because they were able to get a buy off or pardon AKA exemption until 2050 or 2060.

You won't see Greta thunberg complaining or people laying in the streets blocking traffic or putting paint on paintings.

I don't think Greenpeace will make inroads in India because India also has nuclear power plants. We already know they have nuclear weapons but they're not afraid to use nuclear power plants for energy as well.

PO1 William "Chip" Nagel
..."Surprise attacks at night
Mr de Bretton Gordon, who commanded a squadron of British Challenger tanks, says one of the big advantages of Western-made tanks is their ability to fight at night.

Night sights and thermal imaging camera are standard. Only Russia's more advanced tanks - like the T-90 - are fitted to fight at night. Attacks under the cover of darkness also add to the element of shock and surprise.

The greatest challenge for Ukraine will be logistics - maintaining the flow of fuel, ammunition and spare parts. Ukraine is not just having to maintain its old Soviet-era arsenal, it is also having to worry about an increasingly complex inventory of Western supplied weapons.

Ukraine weapons: what equipment is the world giving?
Britain's Challenger 2 tanks, for instance, do not use the same Nato standard ammunition as the Leopard and Abrams. The Challenger 2 is no longer in production and even the British Army has had to cannibalise some spare parts from its existing fleet.

Mr Barry says Ukrainian engineers may be familiar with repairing diesel engines - like those in the Leopard and Challenger. But he says the US-made Abrams runs on a more complicated gas turbine engine. It also consumes about twice the amount of fuel as a German-made Leopard."...

SGT (Join to see) That's why I said a few days ago, the M-1's should be given to the countries that give Ukraine their T-72's. Not only are the Ukrainian's trained on them already but they know how to repair them. I would like to see the whole Ukrainian wish list, not just the Tanks, arty, ADA, AFV, but the Aircraft (I've heard they want F-16's & F-35's). Have they asked for any ships, if not that's the only thing they haven't.
