Deal? Or, no deal. Mine didn't cost that much. A lot of these end up in pawn shops. They're fun little plinkers although the factory front site is not very stable. a machinist can fix that for you.

My daughter 'borrowed' mine in 2004. My other daughter 'borrowed' my replacement when she went off to college. My grandson, two grandnieces and one cousin their age 'borrowed four others. Only four left. I bought 10 in bunch in 1981 for $250 all.
