So what the article tells us is this isn’t a funding issue. All schools are fat with COVID funding right now. The question is how are they using their funding and what plans do the schools have. That is a problem to be addressed by the individual school Boards and Superintendents. At the end of the day the parents, grandparents, and rest of the citizens are to blame. If their Boards and Superintendents are not working for them, they need to vote these bums out, and vote in people with qualifications that will get the job done.
We always do get what we vote for. We can’t legislate competence. We can’t make life foolproof through laws. Life just doesn’t work that way. Any law they make will be twisted by the incompetent people that are currently screwing up or diverting funds for their own reasons. Responsible people will serve if they are sought out and don’t have sh_t pushed down their throats. At the end of the day these parents actually have the power, the question is if they choose to use it, or just sit around all day and whine.
