Are recruits failing the ASVAB, or is the ASVAB failing them?

Since 1968, the military has used the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery, or ASVAB, to assess all incoming recruits. This single test predicts academic skills and determines what military occupational specialty, or MOS, the recruit is qualified to perform in their service.

Don't know if it's a Cliff's notes prep course or an actual Logical and better way to test. Einstein even said, if you test a fish on how well it can fly, the fish will believe itself to be stupid.

These kids, or I should say young adults, of today don't seem to know crap about the world exce[t what is on their phone. It is sad to see these people on You Tube or some of the other channels asking the simplest of questions and they can't answer them.
Example, a guy asked what countries border the US and a twenty something girl couldn't name Mexico and Canada. He asked another about how many states and they couldn't answer that either.

Excellent response MSgt Dale Johnson and I concur with You. Many of today's students don't know simple questions.
