Hypocrites - the story tells of respectable congress members who turn out to be a cheats and a hypocrites. There they sit - many having never done any other work, never having been in the service, sending young men into harms way - but not wanting to give veterans compensation for injuries gotten on active duty. Lairs.
I encourage veterans write their elected congressional members immediately. I don't mean an online petition but a hand-on written letter. By-law they must answer the written concerns of their constituency. Also have your wive, girlfriend, neighbors and relatives write them too. That's my opinion on how headslap them.

What other organizations would be able to help petition this that are veteran related? I mean is the entire VFW involved or can they be if they are are not already involved? I think this would be a big help.

Speaking as a disabled vet: I tried working PRN as a nurse. I had a case that took quite a bit of time while working as a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner, Those 5 minutes to provide comfort and care cost me my disability for 2 months. My health at best is unpredictable so I don’t see myself working for pay again. We deserve better. If not for our service many would not need disability. Served and get slapped in the wallet again and again and again.
