It's completely in line with leftist mantra...
It is perfectly OK for the government to do it, but never OK for a private citizen to do it.
Make decisions about your own health
Own guns
Shoot bad guys
Waste taxpayer money
Steal taxpayer money
Spend other people's money
Collect rainwater
Generate electricity
Defend yourself
Make decisions about your own property
And the list goes on.
If I do it as a private citizen, I am a bad guy, socially irresponsible and, quite possibly a criminal. But if the GOVERNMENT does it, well, we should cheer.
It is perfectly OK for the government to do it, but never OK for a private citizen to do it.
