I suppose he had to do something to justify a four-year investigation at taxpayer expense after coming up with absolutely nothing. What else is he going to do?

Oh brava! Your defense of your progressive brethren is noted. You and your friends spent years here relishing all the supposed 'truths' being espoused in the media regarding Trump and Russia. It was unproven in the Mueller Report and it was buried by this report. Elected representatives on the democrat side lied at every turn with this, but you're okay with that. Good to know.

I didn't say a thing about progressives. Trump is in Putin's pocket, but you are okay with that. But then I suppose you never really cared about your oath to defend the country. Why would you care that the person you elected is in bed with foreign adversaries. And now Durham is going to bullshit you too, and you are more than willing to swallow his bullshit. If he had discovered anything of substance after four years of investigation there would be some charges, but it turned up zilch. Nada. Nothing. Zero. Null. Maybe you are the type of person that is satisfied with results like that, if delivered with enough excuses and crying. The Mueller investigation, on the other hand, resulted in numerous charges and convictions.

MSgt Steve Sweeney You and the others on here have no proof Trump was in anyone's pockets. If you, or anyone else has it, publish it. Until them it's wishful thinking at best, lies at worst.

The crimes Meuller's team found were process crimes that had nothing to do with Trump. Had the FBI and the Obama administration actually done what was right. instead of attempting election interference, those process crimes would have never happened.

But you're okay with FISA warrants obtained with false statements and false evidence. As is the judge who issued them.

LTC Trent Klug - "Process crimes".... right.... while his National Security Advisor registered as a foreign agent and his former AG calls him a "disaster".

"FISA warrants obtained with false statements and false evidence" are "process crimes", specifically the process for applying for a FISA warrant. And, if what you say were true, where are the charges? Why wouldn't Durham give a charging recommendation to the DOJ at least, if only to put it on the record? He didn't because there is no evidence outside inflated right-wing media to support such a charge. One low level FBI agent charged with a false statement in a single email... discovered during a separate investigation. That is all Durham has to hang his hat on. Other than that, nothing but his paid for opinion.

Are you really this gullible, or are you trying to convince someone at the VA that you have a head injury? I am sure you thought Mexico would pay for Trump's wall as well. If only you were as loyal to your country as you are to Donald Trump.

How can we have faith in our institutions when the leadership is more than willing to lie and bend rules to push a political agenda? We know FBI agents lied on FISA warrants to spy on Trump’s political campaign. We know 51 former high ranking Intelligence individuals lied to the American people about Hunter’s lap top. Now it seems the IRS is screwing around with the investigation of Hunter Biden. I remember the IRS slow walking or denying Tea Party people their tax status to organize.

MSgt Steve Sweeney Ah, the old 'when did you stop beating your wife' question.

I had a security clearance for 37 years. 'Nuff said.

MSgt Steve Sweeney You assume much and know very little. I don't hate our government, I hate how it's been perverted by quite a few administrations especially the current one.

LTC Trent Klug - I suppose it takes a pervert to know a pervert. It is like people like never tire of being completely wrong and engaging in fevered dream fantasies about what you feel is true while having absolutely no evidence that will stand up under any level of scrutiny, and certainly not in a court of law. You will believe Durham's opinions that cost taxpayers 6.5 Million dollars even though they are the same opinions he had before he started the investigation with absolutely nothing to show for it. You tell yourself these stories to try to confirm to yourself how smart you are without enough sense to know that you only look foolish outside your bubble. Just sad.

For those that push the "opinion" rhetoric...

"The conduct in 2016 and 2017 that Special Counsel Durham examined was the reason that current FBI leadership already implemented dozens of corrective actions, which have now been in place for some time. Had those reforms been in place in 2016, the missteps identified in the report could have been prevented," the FBI said.

"This report reinforces the importance of ensuring the FBI continues to do its work with the rigor, objectivity, and professionalism the American people deserve and rightly expect," it added.

Sounds to me like it was legitimate criticism made of the FBI, to which the FBI confirmed and claimed to have addressed since. I don't see why some are so ready to just dismiss this as "opinion". While I would prefer that someone be held accountable, according to the FBI, that may have already happened. Comey is out, Strzok, Page... Possibly others. Some may have been reassigned. Am I satisfied? Not really, but no one can make the claim Trump wasn't treat unfairly here and that the FBI discredited themselves through these confirmed findings.

But there's your DNC leadership... doing whatever it takes, moral/ethical or not, to take the other side down. It was apparent when they saw fit to change the rules to prevent Sanders from overtaking Clinton, and Clinton worked hard against Trump as well in the same unethical manner through the willful creation of false accusations, using apolitical (possibly willing, maybe just incompetent) government resources to participate in the scheme.
