Although I understand Duffle blog is satire sometimes its come pretty close to fact. (sometimes closer than actual so called news media) The trend to ignore actual needs for immediate response or tie they hands of troops which make it less effective plus actually putting everyone a greater risk is very disturbing ! It's not so much this is a new concept, no action or delays however NEVER worked out very well. If an action is to be taken it needs to be a quick, immediate response to be effective at all and followed up on and not abandoned with either poor or no favorable results at all. More often than not the unfinished job which far to often was due to political or self interest which has NOT being in the beast interest of the United States or those were had promised to assist and were attempting to do just that ! Information not acted upon and followed through in a positive manner is useless if a proper response was even called for in the first place. The satire here seems to be a result of actual major issues of having information, less than supported response and lack to follow up and finish the job. Vietnam, Afghanistan or half hearted attempts in place like Lebanon which the Military was put at risk by being placed there then tying their hands and losing their lives because of that and accomplishing nothing. There are far to many other places that are examples of this not because of the Military people placed in harms way but sleazy, gutless politician sitting safely back in Washington.
