Federal court deals blow to ATF pistol brace rule ahead of gun accessory registration deadline

Hooray for our side;"The Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals on Tuesday enjoined the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives from enforcing its new rule against gun owners and Second Amendment groups who filed a lawsuit challenging the regulation."
Eventually a case will come before SCOTUS concerning the 2nd Amendment and the result is going to be that any attempt at registration, licensing, confiscation, banning either common use guns, mags, or accessories are all unconstitutional. I look forward to, and also have concerns for that day. I feel deep down inside, that will be the day the rabid anti-gunners are going to come out, in all their crazy to play stupid games. I'll just put this shiny hat back up on the shelf now, for later.

About 99% of all the stuff on the market I don't have or intend to acquire. What the anti gun people don't understand is it's wrong to deprive the people who do.

I'm just curious. If someone used a sling to stabilize and assist their firing (ala as we were taught in USMC boot camp) during a crime, would they make those illegal too?

I was taught at a much younger than boot camp age to use a sling in that manner. That's why I prefer 2 point slings.

This stuff just goes back and forth. The pistol brace was meant for a handicapped user, when those who are not handicapped go off and make videos of them using it as a form of a stock and hold it like traditional stock, it creates the illusion of it being a rifle with a barrel length of less than the required length. That, to me IMHO causes the problem, the misuse of the devices as opposed to the correct use of the device.
