Attorney who challenged Trump's 2020 loss gives up law license as states weigh disciplining him

This shouldn't be too much of a surprise. The legal profession is one of the few with enforced ethical standards. This guy, and a few others, did substantial harm to the US when they pushed these claims that they knew, or should have known, had no basis in fact.

When a lawyer signs on to a case they are attesting that they believe they have a situation where the facts and the law create a legitimate controversy. Instead they put forward cases without any basis in fact and in so doing attempted to use the courts to sow doubt in the minds of the public on the integrity of the election. The courts do not like it when a lawyer attempts to use them for for pure political gain without a legitimate controversy, they don't like it at all.
