While I agree with the Colonel regarding honoring the unit, I wouldn't be surprised if their would be a backlash. There is still an element in the US that hates everything we did there and they get media air time every time they raise a ruckus.

I had an SF 1st LT OCS guy for a PL in the Aerorifle Plt. of D/2-1 Cav, 2d AD at Ft. Hood in '73. He had been a SSG in Det. B-57 doing assassinations at the height of the Phoenix Program. An outstanding soldier with some hairy tales about his time in Nam. . . .
