KYIV, Ukraine — Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov submitted a letter of resignation on Monday after President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said he would be replaced and named his successor.

Unless someone knows more, why would someone get fired over a military jacket procurement issue? I am totally speculating here but could it be because the money given for the jackets didn't result in enough jackets being made and there was fraud waste and abuse by the manufacturer or money going back to the defense minister? Something similar happens in Russia when Russian troops didn't receive the same gear as Ukrainian troops because of corruption over the years and squandering funds for Logistics and going into the pockets of military brass. Hopefully someone can Enlighten us on what the actual reason was. Sure, you're at the pleasure of the president in any country and you could be fired for any reason.
