If that's the only way you can hit a target, you need to start over with basic marksmanship. From a purely technical, no personal opinions allowed, standpoint FRTs are not machine guns. the trigger is coming forward to the cocked position before each round is sent down range. That it happens so quickly as to make the rifle "seem" to be firing in an automatic mode is what has the anti's in such a tizzy. If you've got thousands of rounds, go ahead and burn it up. If you've only got a couple of mags left it's a different story. You're concentrating so hard on getting off the trigger that it's affecting your overall performance. If you want one of the FRTs who am I to say you can't have it. Just consider all the flyers and wasted ammo. If you want a machine gun, spend the money for the tax stamp and license, then go get a surplus M-60. before you do though carry a 25 pound weight, in your hands, out for a ten mile hike. That's just the weight of the M-60 then add another 30 pounds for the ammo simulation. Have a buddy go with, with the simulated weight that an AG will be carrying. Yeah, maybe being the machine gunner isn't as fun as it looked.
