We all know the climate of the country has some to do with this. Plus, the leadership in Washington and the Pentagon don't inspire confidence. I'm surprised that many folks enlisted this year.

I am sure we have leaders today like Nazi Germany did. Some are 100% in support of the crazy ideology and others, mostly professional soldiers, that follow along to maintain their careers. Ervin Rommel comes to mind. Thinking about the USMC LTC that spoke out against the Afghanistan pullout and was 'removed from the table,' you have a much louder voice cooperating and staying in the game than getting out of the military and having no say what so ever.

We used to say of guys like LTC Vindman: "He couldn't get a platoon to follow him out of idle curiosity." Seeing him wearing a CIB and a Joint Svc. MSM as his highest decoration told me everything I needed to know about him. . . .
