SGT (Join to see) My UAW ‘Organizer’ ID Card is long lost. I once heard Walter Reuther in a speech in Los Angeles advocate for; “A fair days pay for a fair day of work”, as was also mentioned in the UAW Constitution, I too became a believer. Once senior employees were able to enjoy such bountiful benefits that they would volunteer to be laid off first, my support for unions ended.

Well, I hope this doesn't backfire on the employees. I got it, the executives make alot of money. Is it wrong? Not according to the share holders. Do the workers need a raise? Sure, but be careful what you wish for. EV's are coming and less workers are needed on the assembly line.

Quick story from way back. A paper mill's employees in my hometown went on strike for a raise. They struck for 10 months. They got their raise. It was going to take 5 years plus for the taise to make up for the months striking. A year after the raise was implemented, the mill was closed. Over 10,000 people were affected by the closure. That's employees, family members, and other businesses supporting the mill.
