I didn't think I would be more than passingly interested in the video, but became hooked when they started crawling through the hatch. Who knew that the inner workings of a gun turret would be that interesting.

One thing that stuck out to this non-Navy guy is when they mentioned "rollers are hardened to support the weight of a 2,000 ton turret ... "

"Of all the camera angles we set up when we turned Turret 3, this one is without doubt the most unusual. We captured the rollers the turret sits on in motion, and we're fairly certain no one had ever filmed it before.

We also discovered something fascinating in the interstitial space - the void in which the rollers can be accessed."
