"A new version of the House fiscal 2024 Commerce-Justice-Science appropriations bill, posted on the House Rules Committee website, adds a provision that would prohibit federal funds from being spent to enforce that rule, along with at least two other provisions that would roll back ATF enforcement against firearms dealers."

This is my opinion. The wording of the article is confusing.
In a sense there was a lot of doubletalk and backtracking on what both parties have stated on gun control in the past. Particularly I was unable to determine if this was a good thing or a bad or just another way to spend money in some pork-barrel politics. Further both parties seem to be positioning themselves to start gobbling the slop from the money trough.
