Dale, is it true that the Chinese invented gun powder much earlier than Europeans did? And is it true that the Chinese used their gun powder in fire works and not in weapons? Or are these just Old Wives' Tales?

Wow, Dale. The Wikipedia clears up a lot, doesn't it? The Chinese weren't such a pacifist people, after all, when it came to gunpowder and gunpowder-like substances!
