Most young vets think it’s time to retire ‘Thank you for your service’

Not a fan of the saying since it seems to be on instant replay and said without any understanding...

Maybe those young vets should know about how the men and women returning from Vietnam were treated before saying that.
Maybe those young veterans should know how entrance and service was denied in businesses during the 70's and 80's.
Maybe those young veterans should know how businesses raised prices in their establishments when military personnel entered their establishments during the 70's and 80's.
Maybe they should just say thank you just as easily as the thank you. is being said to them.
Or maybe, they should just be grateful people care about them.

Agree with all your points,Sir,left home in 1965,left Vietnam in 1967,(physically anyway) left the Army in 1968, was thanked for my service for the first time sometime in the 90s,appreciated that immensely even after all those years, Welcome Home Brothers.
