Note.Texas just cut our property taxes. I'am saving over $900 this year. We just got our property bill and the new voted discount was already on it.

My property taxes rose 33.1 % over just a two year period, it's well out of control and people in town have become very vocal and have banded to stop new excessive spending packages. We are all getting pretty fed up with it. When it reaches the point many senior citizens wonder if they ca eve afford to stay in their own houses because of taxes it pretty bad.

Thank You Sister Charlie for this article. I don't understand the line "At the same time, the average retiree's expenses generally shrink over time, which can complement those higher benefits". What does that even mean?
