Because Trump is an insurrectionist and cannot hold any political office----even dog catcher----in any jurisdiction, he doesn't "qualify" for anything. . . .

To qualify, the Republican National Committee requires candidates to have drawn donations from 80,000 individuals, including at least 200 donors from at least 20 different states. They also need to show having 6% support in two qualifying national polls or in a combination of one national poll and one poll from two different early states. Additionally, they must sign a loyalty pledge agreeing to support whoever the party eventually nominates. They have until 48 hours before the debate on Wednesday to meet those criteria.
Five candidates attended the last debate, but one of them, South Carolina Senator Tim Scott, dropped out of the race shortly afterwards."...
