That is interesting. How long do you suppose you have been on a watch list. And how did you find out? No idea why? Anything that strays from the politically correct could do it. And that changes over time - sometimes slowly, sometimes abruptly.

I was immediately put on numerous watch lists when I signed up for an intensive Arabic course in 1970. Took me a while to figure out what was going on. It was brutal.
I found myself in the middle of Palestine/Israel "difficulties" knowing very little below the surface about them. Had I not done concentrated research on my own I would not have been able to survive what I can only refer to as in depth hate and deception. It felt very violating. It is very violating. I know the energy of that when my name is "activated" again on watch lists One would imagine after over 50 years of an "open book" life anyone would be considered to be totally harmless.<sigh>

However, the "powers that be" who like to manipulate U.S.A. policies (foreign and domestic) do not like some facts to be openly discussed - none of which are secret, many of which the ill-intended who DO have an agenda, prefer not be public knowledge - a least not to be trending when it is not in line with the "acceptable" narrative.
Long story short, of course I later learned that anyone who showed an interest in the Middle East, at that time, was considered to be highly suspect with some type of agenda. Perhaps it is still that way. Even Universities were given a very difficult time way back when if they created M.E. language and literature departments. Probably everyone in the department was on a watch list - watching AND being watched. So goes life. It is always an adventure!

That's the downhill slide . . . but keep the crises going so people don't notice - as usual.
