I have always considered the high and low tides of our oceans as part of the effects by the moon, but hadn't considered the sun... However, I never knew the detail behind the Earth's tidal ebb and flow... In this Video Short, it is explained simply and straight forward... Tides and their power have always amazed me. I even did a term paper in my senior year of high school on using the tides in the Bay of Fundy to generate electricity for Easrern Canada and New England. Technology I proposed really didn't totally exist then, but it does now. Got an A+, so that's what counted at the time :-))
