Arizona Senate hopeful Kari Lake (R) suggested that supporters “maybe strap on a Glock” after saying the “next six months is going to be intense” ahead of the 2024 election.
“He is willing to sacrifice everything I am — that’s why they’re coming after us with lawfare. They’re going to come after us with everything. That’s why the next six months is going to be intense,” Lake told supporters in Lake Havasu City, Ariz., a video from NBC News showed.

3.) US Republican Kari Lake Tells Supporters: 'Strap on a Glock' as Election Nears
April 16, 2024
"We are going to put on the armor of God. Then maybe strap on a Glock," Lake told a cheering audience at an Arizona rally on Sunday.
"You can put one (Glock) here," she said, touching her right hip. "And one in the back, or one in the front, whatever you guys decide."
Her campaign did not respond to queries seeking comment.
Lake's comments came the day before Trump went on trial in New York on criminal charges stemming from alleged hush money payments to adult film star Stormy Daniels. Trump has pleaded not guilty.
Trump has at times used violent imagery in his campaign events, particularly when lambasting immigrants and his opponents.
Lake warned supporters that Trump was facing "lawfare," which refers to an alleged strategic use of legal proceedings intended to intimidate and hinder a candidate.
"The next six months are going to be difficult," she said, adding that Trump is "willing to continue to fight for us."

1.) A Look Back at John Brown
Spring 2011, Vol. 43, No. 1
When Brown was hanged in 1859 for his raid on Harpers Ferry, Virginia, many saw him as the harbinger of the future. For Southerners, he was the embodiment of all their fears—a white man willing to die to end slavery—and the most potent symbol yet of aggressive Northern antislavery sentiment. For many Northerners, he was a prophet of righteousness, bringing down a terrible swift sword against the immorality of slavery and the haughtiness of the Southern master class.

2.) BRIA 9 1 b "We Came to Free the Slaves": John Brown on Trial
John Brown's Secret Plan
No one had a deeper moral hatred of slavery than John Brown. He had grown up on the Ohio frontier, the son of a stern man who believed slavery was a sin against God. As John grew up, he became an active abolitionist -- someone who fights to abolish slavery -- by helping runaway slaves escape. He married and in 1849 moved his family to North Elba, New York, to join a farming community of ex-slaves and free blacks.

3.) John Brown
American abolitionist
John Brown, (born May 9, 1800, Torrington, Connecticut, U.S.—died December 2, 1859, Charles Town, Virginia [now in West Virginia]), militant American abolitionist whose raid on the federal arsenal at Harpers Ferry, Virginia (now in West Virginia), in 1859 made him a martyr to the antislavery cause and was instrumental in heightening sectional animosities that led to the American Civil War (1861–65).

Born: May 9, 1800 Torrington Connecticut
Died: December 2, 1859 (aged 59) Charles Town Role In: Harpers Ferry Raid Pottawatomie Massacre
Although Brown failed to spark a general slave revolt, the high moral tone of his defense helped to immortalize him and to hasten the war that would bring emancipation. Noting that the gaze of Europe was fixed on America, French novelist Victor Hugo wrote that Brown’s hanging would “open a latent fissure that will finally split the Union asunder.” As they marched into battle during the Civil War, Union soldiers sang a song called “John Brown’s Body” that would later provide the tune for the “Battle Hymn of the Republic”:
John Brown died that the slaves might be free,
But his soul goes marching on.
