Learned not to have coins in my pocket in the infantry, made to much noise. Still today, I don't carry coins in my pockets, I keep it in a can, and when the power goes out, my wife uses it for the laundromat.
When my two kids were young kids, I used to keep all my change in the center consol of my car. One day, they both asked me if they could have the coins in my car, after they counted it up, it came out to be $218.03. Don't know what they spent it on, all that mattered was, them having fun with the money they counted, a mental note of good times.
