All flag ranked officers are political appointments and all flag officers who serve the political biases of those who appoint them are likely to be put out to pasture when those biases change.

I wonder why liberals can't bring themselves to at least privately admit some of their elected might have made some really bad decisions. How can there be any improvement unless everyone does.

He lost me at "hyperinflation". Empty hyperbole.
From the article:
---------------------
In 2021, “Seventeen recipients of the Nobel Memorial Prize in economic sciences” assured there would follow no inflation from the Biden administration’s massive borrowing and spending.
Hyperinflation followed.
---------------------
-First, he clearly doesn't understand the definition of the term hyperinflation. The US did not experience hyperinflation. Far from it in fact.
-Second, inflation was a global phenomenon, not a US phenomenon. The writer is inferring direct causation from a Biden initiative when the link isn't there.
If he had said "high inflation followed", and that "the borrowing and spending contributed to effects of global inflation", I'd have agreed with him. However, his hyperbole and clear misuse of a term the average reader wouldn't understand indicates this article is little more than a deliberately misleading political hit job.

LTC Kevin B.
SGT (Join to see) - Yes, and I didn't factor that into my calculations because it predated 2021.
