The things we didn't know come back to bite us years later. CJD (a prion disease) and Alzheimers were both transmitted by blood donations of Human Growth Hormone years before we knew to screen for these diseases.

Sometimes, In Fact Often, Discoveries For One Thing Come Along While Researching Something Else....That Even Happened With "Post It Notes" They Were Working On Producing A Better Adhesive And That Time The Adhesive Didn't Hold Up Well ~~ It Failed All The Tests ~~ And Made Mega-Millions In The Process..
