I don't think a suppressor should have to be registered. This is just the feds thinking every suppressor will be used in the committing of a crime.

I think SBRs should not have to be registered and that suppressors do. My suppressor with subsonic 300 BLK could do a lot of harm at the far end of a store at peak time with people at the front not hearing it. Granted most criminals do not have even a small bit of firearms knowledge that I do or will plan that well, but it could be done. My 300 subs you really only hear the cycling of the weapon. I am sure my opinion is not the popular one here.

MAJ Byron Oyler I understand where you're coming from. Im of the mind that the feds, who are now arming the ATF weapons being carried with suppressors without registration them. To be sure they are on property books somewhere, but the feds are not registering them like you and would have to.

I am of the opinion that the everyday citizen should be able to be as armed as well or better than their local police and that the feds should be more capable than both. Only reason I feel feds should have better firepower is someone needs to be able to stop something big and the military should never be used in any law enforcement roles. Again, not crazy for federal LE to have better capabilities just that I do not want the military involved in LE.
