I remember going TDY from Ft Richardson to Ft Wainwright many times in '78-'82, but seldom saw temps above 80 except I did see a few 90's up there, which were killers.

We had a few days here in Maryland earlier in the year when it hit single digits. On the fifth day, the temps got up to 30 degrees and I was on my front porch in a pair of short and a t-shit and was comfortable. I used to make fun of snowbirds (I grew up in FL) coming down to FL doing the same thing but now I was one of those people....lol. I can certainly relate.

Former pastor of the church that I am a member of, is in Nome, and he says the temperatures are unseasonably high there.
