Methinks that NY Jews must be feeling like Christian Scientists with appendicitis. I can well-imagine that just the threat or potential of Mamdani winning the mayoral election in NY has caused their property values and the values of their businesses to tank. In short, it's too late to run. They should buy a gun. Oh, wait. That's not an option for them, is it?
As to this article, I find it laughable that NY Jews would want to "find" a pro-Israel candidate to run against Mamdani. They themselves haven't been pro-Israel for several decades. They seem to have concluded that America would always be a safe haven for Jews and emigrating to Israel is only for the brave. Thus, they feel that by damning Israel they are ingratiating themselves with the progressive Left that they helped create. I'd go so far as to claim that they invented it.
Now, by "they" I don't include me. Not all Jews are anti-Zionist. Not all Jews are progressive Leftists. Not all Jews ae Democrats. Not all Jews are willing to submit to any ethos other than our own. I am an American, born and raised and served. Still serving as a civilian. I am a Jew by choice much as I am a Texan by choice (because it is the most American place I could find to live out the rest of my days).
That being said, it is my opinion that those intellectual Jews who have abandoned their faith to seek Utopia have created their own enemies and may now reap the whirlwind as their enemies thrive in a world that they helped create.

It really doesn't matter if a voter is pro-Israel or not -- Mamdani is so obviously crazy that no sane person could possibly vote for him.... Which is why he has such a good chance of being elected mayor of New York City.
