This is good for America, so of course, the media downplays it. I can't wait for the naysayers to come onto the thread and say how the trade deficit is good for us.

LTC Trent Klug - Yes, both here and on the other thread I concede that for every 9 manufacturing jobs lost to automation, 1 manufacturing job was lost to free trade.
You have yet to explain how Americans paying more for tariffs is going to move all that automation out of our factories and put people back on those jobs, so you'll have to forgive me for assuming that your whole argument is based on talking point memes and reels.

For some people on this site if Biden did the exact as Trump they would be all in supporting it. Lost cost labor is a primary reason we have lost jobs overseas but since Trump is involved, no chance at convincing them of anything until their TDS is cured.

MAJ Byron Oyler Fact is Biden carried over Trump tariffs during the 'lost' administration and nothing was said for those four years. Biden had tariffs raises in store for China in 2025 and 2026.
Biden cited protecting American workers and companies from intellectual theft and forced tech transfers, China's overcapacity and export surges could harm US industries, and targeting strategic sectors. All without a peep from the left.
