I'm all for Apprenticeships. I started mine at 20.I spent my whole life as a fixer, even while AD. My training was multicraft, It's called Mechatronics now.in 40 years of working for a living, if I was unemployed for more than a week it was because I was taking a break. Give your kids and grandkids the opportunity to learn skills.

College degrees may create opportunities (they did for me) but I made my money with skills. You'll never go broke if you have skills...

Apprenticeships never went away, people just weren't interested because they bought into the you must go to college myth. Newsbreak, PHd's still need plumbers, electricians, and someone to build their McMansions.
