This administration is great at throwing numbers around with no supporting evidence.

Regardless of how you think they're counting the numbers, you seem to be missing the point. It was reported by DHS previously that the previous admin essentially lost track of 300K children that came into this country illegally. Generally kids are usually being trafficked into this country for nefarious reasons, such as slave labor, sexual exploitation, etc. This is fact, so our not having the ability to account for 300K of them is significant and demonstrates a glaring reason why border security is important.
That said, Tom Homan himself is the one who publicly stated his people located at least 62K of these missing kids. Regardless of what their situation was in getting separated from families or their Mom's at the border (the 300K specific to and reported by DHS at the conclusion of the Biden admin by the way), they need to be accounted for. The source of who reports what Homan says is irrelevant. If you don't think they reported it correctly, that's fine, but you can still easily do a search to see if Homan actually stated that (which he did). So let's not go into a sourcing argument here when the point is still valid. If you want to choose to not believe Homan, that's your prerogative, but what he said has nothing to do with the Epoch Times.

SGT Kevin Hughes Of course anyone can just throw out a number. Just they could say that there were all sorts of crimes being committed against them. That said, the data shows the Biden administration gave less than a shit about unaccompanied minors who entered the country illegally.
From the article:
HHS Data Summary:
From October 2020 to September 2024, HHS cared for 468,736 unaccompanied migrant children.
According to a summary of data provided by HHS’s Office of Refugee Resettlement, from January 2021 to January 2025, 11,488 migrant children were placed with unvetted sponsors who were not their parent or legal guardian, and who were not fingerprinted or did not receive a background check.
Home studies
During that same period, the Biden-Harris administration did not conduct home studies for 79,143 migrant children under the age of 12, including 1,961 children who were placed in households where a home study was recommended. HHS regulations require home studies before releasing a child 12 years or younger to a sponsor who is not their parent or legal guardian. The Biden-Harris administration ignored this rule and failed to conduct home studies for approximately 10 percent of migrant children who were recommended to have one.

62,000 found, at least 238,000 left to find.
Thanks, mom, for not pricing me at $2000 back in 1989 or so!

SGT Kevin Hughes
SGT Aaron Atwood - Amen to that. I read an article once about a woman who wanted to be a Mom so bad, she stole a baby from the Hospital birth center!

SGT Aaron Atwood - I am so glad your Mom marched out of there. That is some scary crap. I did know a guy in the Service who tried to sell his baby ...to get out of debt. He went to jail. And got kicked out of the Service. I just don't get it.
