Every time I see heavy cannon fire on youtube videos, I've always wondered how they withstood the concussion shock. Now I know that they really didn't, and didn't realize what they were doing to themselves. Their commanders could probably claim ignorance, because nobody had ever fired that many rounds day in and out, but USMC and VA need to help them out.
