Upwards of 40% of the world's population lives within 100 kilometers of the coast. Could turn into a nightmare around around globe. I like the song a lot better.

CW4 Guy Butler just how high does the seawall have to be and to what distance in order to wrap around the entire sea coast? I read Miami's Ordinance and it apparently only covers Miami so where would the seawall start and stop and then what prevents the sewerage contamination, flooded parking lots and the flooding of businesses and the water entering where the seawall stops, how would people access the beach or even have a beautiful view of it and all the other negatives of such a destructive natural force? An Ordinance might be a start but what is the impetus to have future generations continue such an enormous costly and time consuming undertaking from people who just might not care?

SPC Michael Duricko, Ph.D You’ve apparently never stayed at a beach community…

Ocean City, MD boardwalk, seawall and beach access. Been around for years, and my favorite vacation spot. The seawall’s for protection from storms/storm surge, BTW.

Beaches can be protected by dunes or low seawalls if necessary. Waterfront parts of cities and harbors get seawalls to protect parking lots, businesses, etc.

CW4 Guy Butler Thank you for that informative explanation and I sure hope the scientists have somehow miscalculated because our beachfronts are so beautiful. BTW I live in Maryland on the Chesapeake Bay and have vacationed at OC for as long as I can remember at the Hilton Oceanfront Suites on 3200 N Baltimore and have enjoyed the OC restaurants from north to south and certainly would never want to see any of it under water. But we have a sizable beach and great dunes and the Hilton sits high above the surf but some of the other lower lying areas are questionable. Glad you are also an OC Lover.

Are "humoans" responsible for the wobble?
Then can we place the blame for it on climate change?

No, but not doing anything about it when the signs are there shows how ignorant they are.
