They are going to have to let the Taliban-types into the gvt in some fashion because they can't beat them, nobody can, neither US nor the Ruskies. I don't see the Taliban as a threat to world security or US in particular. They are just another religious-dictatorship type group trying to take over their own country. If the honest people of Afgan can't stop them, that is their problem.

Well unless the people who live there stand up as a whole and agree to defeat the insurgency regardless of its current or future name then anything we do will be in vain. I am for pulling the US presence out 100%. If the locals won't fight for their own freedom then no Americans should die for it. No people that don't give a rats ass about making things better for their children or won't sacrifice for that freedom don't deserve freedom, let them kill each other as they have for centuries. After we pull out we announce any attack on American interests of people will result in a target being erased from the map no bodies to bury and plenty of worm and crow food. On the off chance we have to insert small teams to reach out and touch someone then lets do it then pull out. If they want to continue their BS then they will have to worry about moving about in the day or night or just disappearing with no sign of them existing.

Talk no. Leave yes. Even the hard headed Russians left this S#$:t hole country. The British got their arse kicked there also. Let them all play nice together in the s </=÷ hole they created.
