The title is misleading, I don't see it as "an ignorant rant" but to be his honest and thoughtful feelings on the subject...I just disagree with the premise of his focus.

It is an ignorant rant because he has not clue as to the reasons that our founding fathers created the 2nd Amendment. It was created so that he could use his 1st Amendment rights to offer his opinion on public TV. I love how he threw in that he has 2 children. When you don't have any other basis for your argument say, "It is for the kids."

Most of those in favor of banning "semi-automatic" assault rifles can't define what that is. Most want any semi-automatic weapon with more than 10 rounds ban or anything "high powered". That would ban all of my .22 rifles, my my 9mm, my .40, my 30-30 and 30-06. I think they equate semi-auto with AK-47 and AR-15s. Let me take Conan out one time shooting or small game hunting with me and my son and he may change his verbiage on in his argument.
