I served in Japan and visited Nagasaki while there. I have no criticism of Pres. Truman for his decision. I believe it saved American lives. It cost lots of Japanese lives. Amazingly, I knew a lady from Hiroshima who happened to be out of town when the bomb was dropped there. She lost everything, family home, friends. She never expressed one word of criticism about Truman's decision but did express criticism of the Japanese military. She was an amazing lady.
