Jim, age 92, is described as a war hero and the title is well deserved. Born in 1924, the World War II Veteran was wounded three times. He recovered to do much good in his life. His passion was being involved with the Saint John’s Ambulance Therapy Dog Movement. His volunteerism started about 50 years ago. Jim knew the benefits the unconditional love of an animal could bring those needing relief from stress, high blood pressure, and chronic pain. The dogs provided a distraction and comfort to those who needed relief the most. Jim is obviously an animal lover and oddly enough he has never experienced a trip to the zoo, but that was going to change.
