Our Social Security Funds Have Been "Borrowed" From A Multitude Of Other Government Agencies With NONE Ever Repaying Those "Loans". If SS Would Put A Stop To It, Which They Won't,There Would Be Far More Funds To Be Made Available To The Retirees ~~
~~~ How's THIS Grab Ya?~~~
Apr 17, 2023 · Technically the government owes the Social Security fund an estimated $2.9 trillion, money that has been used and not repaid to the fund. The money is legally held in a special type of bond that by law cannot be used for any other purpose other than to put the money back into the fund.
I'm pretty sure I'll be getting IOUs in lieu of any checks by the time I reach that age. Personally I'm just expecting to have to work until I literally drop dead.
Many Many Moons Ago, This Is What I Was Told To Do Before Old Age Sets In:
#1.. Place 10% Of Your Income Into Savings For Investments ~ #2...In A Separate Savings Account 10% For Emergency Funds Or Any Other Unexpected Situations. #3... Avoid Credit Cards As Much As Possible, As They Create More Problems Than They Benefit. #4... Where At All Possible And My Favorite:The Attitude Of: "If I Can't Write A Check, I Can't Afford It".
A1C Medrick "Rick" DeVaney I disagree regarding credit cards. Only use them if you can pay them off at the end of the billing cycle. I learned that many moons ago and the only time I have a late or interest is when I was overseas and the mail ran late; and only a few times in the 4 years in the UK.
If you can’t pay it off at the end of the month/billing cycle, I agree with A1C Medrick "Rick" DeVaney.
OH I Agree With That ~ If You Can And Do Pay It Off, By All Means YES,
In Fact, If Cards Are Used PROPERLY, You Can Actually Save Money By Using Them.
Let's Say "You Have A Utility Bill Due Today ~ SO If You Pay It By Putting It On Your VISA,
Now You Have An Additional 30 Days Before It Needs To Be Paid ~ And Another 30 Days To Pay The Credit Card Company ~ Making It 60 Day Of Using Their Money~
BUT, Few People Do It That Way; Normally They Make Purchases And Never Think About The Actual Costs Of NOT Paying It Off, Just Continue Making Payment And The Fees Keep Being Added To Their Balance, And They Really Don't Even Know Why.
And here I struggle philosophically and intellectually, thus emotionally, with such a significant chunk of my earned wealth being taken involuntarily from me for someone elses idea's and beliefs. While MY step into it becomes fluid because why? More excuses from management? Yes, and opinions and justifications....ad nauseam....I know, used it as an excuse to start smoking again every April long ago and far away in a distant galaxy...
Leave me to my own means, I can better manage my coffers and wealth....but of course that is known....It's called POWER.......I've paid my dues and my title and deed to the property STILL calls me tenant.........and you KNOW without the thugs, ....er I mean agencies, I would FIRE these managers for incompetent performance. They have KNOW IDEA what a balanced budget is or the reasons for doing it...or do they?
Tax EVERYONE 10% flat rate regardless, from those laying on the concrete to those buying planets...with NO deductions, no changes, no exceptions EVER....everyone gives ten to the machine....you gotta pay to stay whatever it is you want to make of the whole thing...pay richly to be rich....and etc...Then get and maintain accurate numbers and live together WITHIN THEM....or let us all in on the big farce....WTF? So said the Freeman.....
Please don't mind me I'm venting and trying not to swear.....or journaling....
And Retirement Age Will Keep Increasing As Will The Costs.
Either Be Reduced Or Eliminated. ~ Whatever It Takes To Screw The Beneficiaries.
But I Think We Can Be Guaranteed, Nothing Will Affect The Retirement Benefits Of
