One of the quickest lessons I learned in the military was that not everyone in the military is the paragon of respect and virtue. You get thieves, cheats, and abusers.

Since 9/11, our military has been more respected, and often put upon a pedestal, virtually ignoring the fact that those who serve come from all aspects of America. Not all are worthy of the "pedestal" they are placed on.

Unreal! Such a disgrace.
