Raymond Williams was a corporal in the Montford Point Marines, the first all-black Marine unit. He and 19,000 other Montford Point Marines were awarded a collective Congressional Gold Medal in 2012.

One of many. SgtMaj Huff, "Hashmark Johnson". The finest MGySgt I ever worked with was a dark green Marine. Distinguished shooter, very calm and low key, firm when he had to be but never demeaning. He was my Sr Enlisted in our Plt of close to 80. Wife and I dined at their house sometimes. A great family too.
