A strong band of rain is 50NM offshore, moving NE-E at 25mph, extending from Naples to Crystal River and points further North. Offshore winds recorded up to 58kts. Expect heavy rain, possible high winds, extensive lighting and thunderboomers around 1200hrs. Predicted to be in the Orlando-Lakeland area and moving Eastward by 1700hrs.
