She was a brave and iconic pilot who was a pioneer in flight back in the days where flying was far more dangerous and subject to countless factors that reduced the odds of successful outcomes. Yet, she had the courage to fly anyway. And as we're seeing even today, she hailed from a state whose population is singularly independent and isn't swayed by outside influences.
