What business is it of Trump's how much the Canadians spend on defense? Trump can't tell other countries how much they have to spend on their own defense. That is an internal matter, and none of our business.

SN Greg Wright - Of course, in a society where the only reason to have a job is to buy cigarettes or beer, and having to work at all.... God forbid more than an 8 hour day...(the horror!).. is considered an evil to be avoided.. Then those same people are confused when interacting with those who actually work for a living and expect to get value and or service as a consumer.
Am I too harsh? Possibly, but from my angle it is a hard perspective to avoid.
I would use the stronger language that my contemporaries and I use when discussing our northern neighbors but out of respect for the Major I shall not.
PS: Steve, the food up there to be found in restaurants is not for human consumption as a rule. Why is this? I mean it is BAD.

Like California? Black and White? Did they change the motto on the fender from. "To protect and serve." to "We'll Treat you like a King." ?

See the above comment on NATO and the 2% rule. It's the President's business because this is an alliance, and alliances are (or are supposed to be) characterized by mutual inconvenience as well as mutual protection. Canada (and several of our other allies) want the full measure of protection while paying for as little of the inconvenience as they can get away with.
