Good Red Friday morning, Rallypoint, and welcome to the January 9, 2026 edition of Astronomy Picture of the Day (APOD).

I don't think I've ever seen ice halos (aka Moon Dogs and Sun Dogs) together like this. But it made me realize it might be one reason why I do enjoy the winter season. The world can certainly put on a show. Cheers.
