Anything projected down the pipe in regards to them? I could honestly see a crackdown on them. Maybe more SGM/CSM's on Disney during PT hours raising OPSEC hell over the use of them while chewing ass over uniform violations?

SSG Warren Swan Thanks for posting.
I was going to post a different link as a header to my share of this story, but I will post it here along with other articles about the same story.
Unfortunately the banning of the use of most of the devices stated will not solve the problem, why cell phones, satellite phones, too many GPS devices, etc. have this ability also. This is really just an update on the cell phone story a while back.

SSG Robert Webster SSG Warren Swan Heard About it on KCUR on the way into work this Morning. So Much for OPSEC Right. Although Not Much different than what I did with HFDF. Your Cell Phone is a Portable Radio and it is always Transmitting if nothing else telemetry data and with Telemetry Data I can Track You.

SSG Robert Webster - thanks for the add on articles! Sometimes being "basic" in your needs isn't always a bad thing. It's just nuts one could be tracked that easily and not even put any work into it. I know the cellphones are also a dead giveaway, but where I was in the Stan, if you could get a signal for your 150's or 152's, you were ahead of the game most days, and cellphone usage was a joke even with SATphones.

PO1 William "Chip" Nagel - Don't forget about the folks who have to take pics of everything they do and upload it to FB or whatever. It's not like the metadata in the pics won't have identifying info in them to give lat/long DTG, or that one item that shouldn't be in the pic, but just so happened to wind up unseen to the poster. Best place for information isn't SIPR/JWICS it's UNCLASS and social media
