I may be a little behind on this one. And SSG Warren Swan deserves credit for one of the first postings on the subject.
And like I stated in a comment not too long ago - "Privacy experts noted that Strava is far from alone in collecting and using location data and that such granular information about the movements of individuals could reveal where they live, work, shop and socialize."
This has been going on for a number of years. It will take a concerted effort and a lot of education to try to correct the problem.
RP needs to fix the tagging problem - Please.

Don't give me credit. It's takes multiple efforts to make change. This is disturbing in a lot of ways, and even on multiple news outlets, folks are taking heed to it immediately.
